About the Founder
Jared is a Detroit native whose interest in real estate began with hands-on home improvement projects. Growing up in a 1920s home meant there was always something to repair, replace or improve. Years spent working alongside family and friends throughout the community developed an appreciation for the lasting value that thoughtful investment and practical execution can create.
A Big Ten graduate, Jared began his career in Detroit’s automotive engineering sector, focusing on vehicle quality assurance. He later transitioned into financial services, identifying high-quality assets for retail and institutional investors before helping multinational enterprises develop tax strategies. This multidisciplinary experience informs his disciplined approach to understanding investor needs, evaluating opportunities and delivering viable solutions.
Entrepreneurship has been a consistent influence throughout Jared’s life. His father was an immigrant entrepreneur, his mother a self-made philanthropist, and his grandparents operated a neighborhood convenience market and medical transportation company during retirement. Their examples provided an early understanding of the dedication, discipline and persistence required to build a successful business.
Jared founded East Jay Capital to combine these experiences with a passion for investing, development and community impact. Supported by experienced partners and trusted advisors, the firm pursues opportunities designed to create durable value for investors and the communities it serves.
